CAMERON–Oran Lee Ross, 80, of Cameron, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 in Cameron. He was born Sept. 5, 1931 in Hackett to Glenn and Grace Ray Ross. He was retired from Whirlpool, where he was an engineer for 37 years, on the Cameron City Council for 50 years and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War.
Services are Monday at 10 a.m. at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 56 years, Earlene Ross; and brother, Gene Ross.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lea and Jim Ridenour of Cameron; son, Byron Ross of Cameron; grandchildren and spouses: Ross Ridenour and Candace Lett and Bryan and Angila Montgomery of Cameron, John and Tabby Ridenour of Fayetteville, and Sara Ridenour of Cameron; great grandchildren, Aiden Hildebrant of Fayetteville, Ashley Montgomery, Isabelle Ridenour and Kloe Montgomery of Cameron.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Ross Ridenour, Bryan Montgomery, John Ridenour & son-in-law, Jim Ridenour.
The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. to visit with friends and relatives.
