BOKOSHE—The Bokoshe Community Fellowship Breakfast will be Saturday at 8 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Methodist Church. The breakfast will honor veterans of the armed services.
The Girl Scouts of Bokoshe will be at the breakfast and organizers invite everybody to attend.
They will sing “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”, led by Dave Buchholz with Royce Bell playing the piano. The speaker will be Rev Tommy Johnson, Pastor of Perry Free Will Baptist Church near Stigler, who is a veteran of the Vietnam War.
The breakfast is usually held the first Saturday of the month but is being held on the fifth Saturday this month because our Bokoshe American Legion will be serving breakfast on Nov. 5th. The Legion Auxiliary will have a bake sale and the men will be selling BBQ Brisket.
Also, the second annual community Thanksgiving dinner will be held at the school cafeteria on Nov. 20. The dinner is free to all.
The Bokoshe Pride Community Service Day in the park was a huge success. Jonquils were planted, a covered dish dinner was served and two bands provided entertainment. New banners are also hanging on Main Street.
