Rodney Cheek and Michael White were perfect in the Journal’s Week 9 pick-em contest with Cheek winning by tiebreaker by coming the closest to the points Oklahoma scored in its game with Kansas State.
Both pickers were 10-0 on the week. Cheek picked OU to score 38 points while White had the Sooners scoring 38.
Overall, it was a good week for our pickers as 11 others were 9-1 on the week, probably the best overall performance in the three years the Journal has been doing the pick-em.
White maintained his overall lead and increased his margin to two games with his perfect week. Dusty Alexander, Gary Nelson and Craig Hall are now two games behind the leader.
While we usually only pick games involving county teams, along with OU, Oklahoma State, Tulsa and Arkansas, this week we have included the LSU at Alabama game. Just as a reminder, the pick-em is a free contest and everybody is invited to participate, even if they have not played all season.
