ZOE–Ike Breeding, 93, of Zoe, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 in Poteau. He was born Nov. 28, 1917 to Walter G. and Ella (Bingham) Breeding in Fogel, Ok. He was a member of the Heavener Church of Christ, a retired cattle rancher and a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy SeaBees in eight countries in Europe.
Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener. Interment is at Memorial Park Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy (Looper) Breeding; a daughter, Judy Fortner and husband Earl of Zoe; three sons, Kenneth Breeding and wife Joan of Poteau, Gerald Breeding and wife Patsy of Poteau, and Dale Breeding and wife Mary of Wilburton; a sister, Allie Sinclair of San Pablo, Cal.; 12 grandchildren, Steave, Grant, Gary, Greg, Gerard, Howard, Austen and Amanda Breeding, Stacy O’Sullivan, Anthony Fortner, Dustin and Gerrick Goodwin; six great-grandchildren, Emily, Connor and Ella O’Sullivan, Phillip, Kannady Layne and Gavin Breeding.
