POTEAU–The Kiamichi Technology Center (KTC) Poteau Chapter elected Business Professionals of America (BPA) officers for the 2011-2012 school year.
The BPA members are a group of secondary and post-secondary students from the Business Administration & Information Technology (BAIT) and the Computer & Networking Technology (CNT) classes.
BPA members competed for positions on the advisory board with nine selected. The board will travel to Oklahoma City on Oct. 17-18 for the annual statewide BPA Fall Leadership Conference where they will meet with hundreds of other BPA members.
Some of the other planned activities for the year include: “Chain of Love” fundraiser for the Special Olympics, Pin Design Contest to represent Oklahoma at the National Leadership Conference being held in Chicago, as well as a variety of professional development projects. Nina Morgan & Burl Spears are the instructors for KTC’s Business Administration & Information Technology and Computer & Networking Technology classes.
