After the disappointing week that was last week, our beloved Panel Pickers bounced back in fine fashion.
As we all knew they would.
Showing the intelligence and poise that, uh, only our pickers can demonstrate, they showed that last week’s picks were an abnormality. A fluke. A temporary brain…never mind.
The three were each 6-4 last week.
But this ship has been righted. The stars have been realigned! Little children everywhere know there is hope, once again!
Newcomer Doug Hall was the champion for week 6, going 9-1, to edge Jerry Pitchford and Mark Caldwell, who were 8-2.
That puts Hall on top of the overall standings at 48-13. Pitchford is one game back at 47-14 while defending champion Caldwell is 46-15.
“I knew it was only a matter of time before I took control,” Hall actually didn’t say, or probably think. “I hope Caldwell and Pitchford like the view. They better get used to it!”
As the weekly champion, Hall gets to hold on to the prestigious traveling trophy for at least another week. The massive four-inch, gold-looking plastic trophy will once again be displayed in Hall’s office for everybody to see, and gawk at the magnificence.
