Arkoma is in and will get a first-round playoff game at home.
Heavener, Pocola and Spiro are hoping to make the playoffs while the other county schools will be wrapping up the regular season this week.
Arkoma has already clinched second place in its district going into Friday’s game at Claremore Christian. The Mustangs look like they will host Covington-Douglas in the opening round of the playoffs.
The game of the week for the county has Pocola visiting Heavener. The winner makes the playoffs while the loser will hand in their gear.
Pocola was off this past week while Heavener won at Panama 28-14. The Wolves are 2-3 while Pocola is 1-4 in the district, but the Indians would advance with a win because of the head-to-head win.
The winner of the Heavener-Pocola game is expected to visit Stroud in the first round.
Vian has wrapped up the district championship while Wilburton visits Hartshorne Friday for second place.
Spiro is part of a four-way tie for third place in its district, but must win at Stigler to have a chance at making the playoffs. Seminole is the district champion while Stigler is second.
Spiro, Idabel, Eufaula and Valliant are tied for third and two of the four will advance to the playoffs. Idabel and Valliant appear to have the easiest path. Idabel plays Hugo, which has not won a district game while Valliant is at Atoka.
Eufaula hosts Seminole. Spiro has defeated Eufaula, but lost to Idabel and Valliant.
In 4A, Poteau was eliminated from the playoffs with a 59-56 loss at Fort Gibson. Sallisaw is the district champion, Hilldale second, while Broken Bow, Webster and Fort Gibson are tied for third place.
Webster must play Sallisaw while Fort Gibson is at Broken Bow. The Pirates close at Muldrow Friday.
