POTEAU—The Poteau Quarterback Club held its annual banquet Friday and awards were presented to several Pirates.
The Offensive Player of the Year award went to Wilson Klutts.
The Patrick Lynch Defensive Player of the Year was presented to Carlos Aguilar.
Jace Pitchford won the Buccaneer Newcomer of the Year award.
Jake McMillin was the Pirate of the Year and Blake Williams won the Coach Perry academic award. The defensive lineman of the year was Derek Francis.
Back of the year was Jesse Woodson while Troy Barnett was the offensive lineman of the year.
Doug Ritter was presented the QBC heart/sportsmanship award.
Blackbeards for lineman of the week throughout the year were Jerrett Demory, Troy Barnett, Devin Thompson, Stephen Smith and Francis.
Bluebeard awards for skilled player of the week through the year were Klutts (2 times), Woodson, McMillan, Pitchford, Kaydon Evans and Aguilar.
