BOKOSHE–Della Juanita Edwards, 92, of Bokoshe, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 in Poteau. She was born Oct. 14, 1919 in Mena to Isaac Newton and Lucrecia Wiles and was a homemaker.
Services are Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Panama with Rev. Lynn Bullard and Rev. Tim Painter officiating. Interment will follow in Massey Cemetery near Blocker under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jasper Edwards Sr.; sons, Jasper Edwards Jr. and Robert Edwards; daughter, Laura Jean Edwards and several siblings.
Survivors include daughters Wanda Edwards of Dallas, Anna Tackett and husband Bill of Milton and Joy Willhite and husband Elmer of Jenny Lind, Ark.; sons, Leo “JC” Edwards of Bullock, N.C. and Bobby Edwards of Bokoshe; 28 Grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Williams of Quinton.
Pallbearers are Chris Bush, Justin Price, Chad Price, Bobby Edwards Jr., Mark Hatcher, Jasper Lee Chronister, Tommy Shaw and Charles Shaw.
The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
