HEAVENER–Donald Eugene Parker, 65, of Heavener, passed away Jan. 18, 2012 in Heavener. He was born Jan. 8, 1947 in Lawton and was retired from the Hamilton Skills Center at Hodgen, was a Deacon/Yokefellow and served as chairman for the new fellowship hall at the First Baptist Church.
Services are Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Heavener, under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nelson and Francis Franklin; a brother, Michael Parker; and a sister, Deborah Parker Ellis.
Survivors are his wife, Donna Joy (Rymer) Parker of Heavener; two daughters, Diane Lynch and husband Terry of Heavener, and Sherri Carter and husband Edwin of Dallas; five brothers, Whit Parker of Lawton, David Parker of Oklahoma City, Gary Clements of Arlington, Victor Clements of Tahlequah and Terry Clements of Arlington; and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to Gideon bibles or the Heavener First Baptist Church fellowship hall.
