Poteau was swept at Muldrow while Talihina split a pair of games at home in county basketball action Friday night.
Poteau’s boys entered the NOAA game at Muldrow on a roll, but the Bulldogs jumped out to a big lead early and the Pirates could never recover in a 50-35 loss. Poteau falls to 5-7 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
Wilson Klutts led Poteau with eight points, Marshall Jones added seven. Poteau’s girls also lost, 42-28. Shelby Standridge paced Poteau with seven points.
Talihina’s girls fell to 8-3 with a 39-38 loss in overtime to Wilburton despite Chelsea Baggs’ 19 points, including four three-point baskets. Talihina’s boys continued their recent improvement with a 63-56 win over the Diggers.
Bokoshe’s girls bounced back after a couple of losses to Arkoma and Howe by blasting Buffalo Valley, 52-37.
Pocola’s boys dumped Hartshorne, 74-33, while the Lady Indians fell to the visitors, 49-32.
LeFlore’s boys, now ranked 11th in Class B, improved to 13-3 with a 63-35 win over Clayton.
Heavener’s games at Stigler Friday night were postponed and will be rescheduled.
