POTEAU–Irene Dunning, 72, of Poteau, passed away Feb. 26, 2012 in Poteau. She was born July 7, 1939 in Keota to Theodore & Ermal (Teague) Hayes, was owner/operator of Bargain Shack in Poteau and a member of the Gospel Tabernacle in Poteau.
Services are Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Gospel Tabernacle in Poteau with Bro. Lawrence Daniels, Bro. Jack Hayes, Bro. Carl Daniels. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dunning; her parents; and brother, Clarence Hayes.
Survivors include her daughters Pam Collins and husband Jerry, Sandy Branstetter and husband Mark; sons Jerry Dunning and wife Cheri, John Dunning and wife Julia; grandchildren, Chris and Laurie Dunning, Crystal and Joey Triplett, Jerry and Misty Collins, Janna and Jeff Gibson, Brad Cook, Chrissy and Zac Cook, Jennifer and Jason Parker, Taylor and Jena Branstetter, Ryan Dunning, Cody Dunning; great grandchildren, Luke Dunning, Jamison Triplett, Dani Collins, Dax Collins, Jayden Gibson, Journi Cook, Jake Cook, Ben Cook, Mallory Parker, Jackson Parker and Jordyn Parker; brothers Curtis Hayes and wife Sue, and Jack Hayes and wife Donna; and a sister Christene Daniels and husband Lawrence.
Pallbearers are Jerry Dunning, John Dunning, Chris Dunning, Jerry Collins Jr., Brad Cook, Ryan Dunning and Cody Dunning.
