Higher Education Day in Oklahoma City was attended by students of Carl Albert State College on Tuesday.
Ten CASC students, along with CASC Regent Carroll Huggins, CASC President Brandon Webb, and several members of the CASC administration and staff joined State Representatives James Lockhart, John Bennett, and State Senator Mark Allen for the events of the day.
Following lunch, Chancellor Glen Johnson of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education welcomed guests from across the state to the Oklahoma House of Representatives Chamber. Chancellor Johnson, Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb, President Pro Tempore Brian Bingham, and Speaker Kris Steele all spoke on the importance of education and what Oklahoma is doing to make a difference.
Several college students also shared the importance of higher education, and the opportunities education provides.
