TALIHINA—Talihina’s boys and girls ended the regular season by sweeping Antlers in a pair of games here Tuesday night.
Talihina’s boys used a big rally in the fourth quarter to avenge two earlier losses to the Bearcats in a 52-51 win while the Lady Tigers improved to 19-4 with a 56-32 win.
Both teams finished the regular season on a roll. The Tigers improved to 11-11 after starting the year 0-6 and were 6-1 after the LeFlore County Tournament while the Lady Tigers were a perfect 7-0 after the LCT.
Talihina’s boys trailed 39-31 after three quarters before making the big run. The Lady Tigers broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Antlers 24-7.
Both teams now enter district play at Warner. The Tigers play Warner Friday at 8 p.m. while the Lady Tigers take on the winner of the Summit Christian-Warner game on Saturday for the district championship.
