POTEAU–Carl Albert State College’s Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team is preparing to plant a garden on campus that will be available to the entire community.
According to SIFE member Cord Carter, the community garden idea comes from the organization’s desire to encourage healthy food alternatives.
“Obesity is a prevalent issue with adults and children,” Carter said. “In planting this garden, we hope to combat obesity by providing freshly grown vegetables. We also hope our efforts for a leaner, greener society will inspire others to join the cause.”
