COWETA–Poteau girls placed second at the Coweta High School Tournament in their first tournament of the spring.
Poteau finished with a team score of 408 in the tournament was held at Emerald Falls in Broken Arrow. Bishop Kelley won the tournament with a score of 400.
The Lady Pirates’ Hannah Ward shot 78 and took first-place honors by one stroke. Cathleen Manlove shot 100 and placed eighth.
Other Poteau scores were Paiton Callery at 114, Skylynn Terry with a 116 and Alyssa Vineyard finished at 133.
The tournament consisted of primarily Class 5A and 6A teams. The Lady Pirates finished three strokes ahead of third-place Coweta
Poteau plays next week in Tahlequah at Cherry Springs.
