CAMERON—Cameron outhit Northside here Saturday in the final day of the Poteau Wood Bat Festival, but errors made the difference as the Jackets fell, 5-1.
Cameron outhit the Grizzlies, 6-5, but the Jackets had three errors while Northside played error free baseball.
The Jackets jumped ahead 1-0 in the first on a sacrifice fly by Chris Pearson to score A.J. Reese before Northside answered with two runs in the top of the sixth and padded the lead with three more in the sixth inning.
Cody McAlpin and Austin Standridge were each 1-3 with a double for Cameron, now 7-4. Dale Pearson was the losing pitcher for the Jackets, despite eight strike outs and allowing only two earned runs.
Matt Johnson was the winning pitcher for Northside, which was 5-4 going into a later game with Stigler.
