POTEAU–The LeFlore County Republicans held their annual convention Saturday morning at the Kiamichi Technology Center in Poteau.
The largest group ever to attend the annual convention was present to conduct its business and hear from several speakers. Delegates were elected to the district and state conventions.
Candidates for U.S. Congress on hand to speak to the members and guests were: Dustin Rowe, Dwayne Thompson, and Dakota Wood, while representatives for George Faught and Markwayne Mullin spoke on behalf of those candidates.
Also addressing the group with a legislative update was State Senator Mark Allen.
A number of delegates from LeFlore County will attend the 2nd Congressional District meeting on March 31 in McAlester as well as the State GOP Convention in Norman on May 11-12.
The next local meeting will be held on April 30, at 7 pm at the Kiamichi Technology Center.
