Seale running for county sheriff
(The Journal publishes political announcements as a public service)
With 21 years of law enforcement experience at the Poteau Police Department, I hold an advanced certification from the Council for Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET). I am a CLEET Basic Instructor, RADAR Instructor, and Reserve Academy Coordinator and have trained numerous reserve police officers for agencies in southeast Oklahoma.
I am also a board member and S.E. Regional Director of the Oklahoma Gang Investigators Association. I am a graduate of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Academy and have over 1,000 hours of continuing education classes from CLEET. In addition, I have an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Carl Albert State College and 35 hours of criminal justice classes at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
I am a 12 ½ year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps where I served as an Intelligence and Counterintelligence Officer.
I come from a law enforcement family. My father, Bill Seale, was Chief of Police in Poteau for 21 years and also worked as a deputy for Sheriff Jack Craig in LeFlore County and has a total of 28 years in law enforcement.
I have been married for 29 years to my wife Becky, a teacher at Poteau Schools. We have two grown children, Tierney, who works for Central National Bank in Poteau, and Aaron, who works for Technical Support Systems in Memphis, Tenn. My wife and I are members of Immanuel Baptist Church in Poteau.
Some of my goals are:
–To achieve a strong working relationship between the sheriff’s office and all local, state and federal law enforcement agencies as well all emergency response agencies in the county.
— Ensure that all calls will be answered in a timely manner and reports are handled professionally and investigated thoroughly.
— Aggressively pursue grants to obtain funding and resources to make the department more effective for all citizens of LeFlore County.
–Ensure deputies patrol and are highly visible in rural areas of our county and not just on highways.
I invite you to join me on Facebook at “Elect Rob Seale LeFlore County Sheriff” to obtain information concerning my campaign and upcoming events. I look forward to personally meeting as many of you as possible in the few months prior to the election and if elected will continue to personally meet with you as I plan to be highly visible outside the office as a working sheriff.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at [email protected]
Your support and vote in the June 26 Democratic Primary will be a vote for an honest, experienced, professional sheriff who will work hard for the citizens of LeFlore County. Thank you for your consideration.
