HEAVENER—A Viking/Celtic Festival will be held at the Heavener Runestone Park on March 17-18 by the Friends of Heavener Runestone.
The Festival is held to provide funds for park operations with the cost only $5 per carload.
The event is for families with a children’s game area, along with entertainment, history and magic. Everybody is encouraged to dress in costumes.
Viking re-enactors are scheduled to attend, bringing tents, costumes and Icelandic sheep and Norwegian Fjord horses.
Plenty of food such as hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ sandwiches and turkey legs will be available. Among the crafts are Celtic jewelry, stained glass, handmade pottery, wooden toys and much more.
The music starts each day at noon and lasts until 5 p.m.

There will also be some Viking re-enactors from Louisiana who are coming up with tents, costumes, and bring their animals (Icelandic sheep and Norwegian Fjord horse).
There will be food vendors with everything from drinks, burgers, hot dogs, BBQ sandwiches, and turkey legs. Craft vendors scheduled will have wares ranging from Celtic jewelry, stained glass, handmade pottery, wooden toys, decorated gourds, handmade instruments (flutes/ukuleles/guitars), handmade wire wrap precious metal and semi-precious stone jewelry.
