WISTER—Wister’s archery team has once again qualified to go to the Oklahoma State NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) tournament Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
This came after Wister finished first at the Regional Archery event in February at McAlester. Wister has also qualified each year to go to the Nationals that are held in Kentucky but last year the national event was the same day as the state baseball tournament in Oklahoma City.
Most of the archery team is also on the baseball team which won state last year. Colton Woolbright won the Oklahoma High School event in OKC as number one male and went to Kentucky to represent Wister, which placed third.
Woolbright also placed eighth in the National Tournament. Wednesday’s tournament is expected to draw 1,200 students.
