HEAVENER—Friends of Heavener Runestone will present a Cowboy Campfire Concert in the Runestone Amphitheater on Aug. 11 as a fundraiser for the operation of the park.
Gates open at 7:30 p.m. with music starting at 8 p.m. and running through 10:30 p.m.
Entertainme consists of Gypsy Twant, singer/songwriter Sarah Barker and band, who create an atmosphere of old campfire music under the stars.
Then enjoy country humor with Jim Turner, a noted Cowboy Poet who will enchant your evening with stories pleasing to the ears and heart.
Gattling & Hoffpauir, a well seasoned husband and wife team that recently moved to Southeast Oklahoma from Austin, Texas and their music will definitely get your toes to tapping.
They write their own music, and have a smooth blend of songs that range from something like the Western Swing to Americana with a hint of Jazz once in awhile. Their voices are a beautiful blend of harmonies that are rich and seasoned. They will not disappoint, and promise to make you want to join in. Also, David Gattling and Connie Hoffpauir will entertain in their own style of western ballad music in beautiful troubadour fashion.
Cost is $10 per carload with all ages welcome.
