SPIRO–Jack Gray, 82, of Spiro passed away Monday in Fort Smith. He was born July 3, 1930, in Leslie, Ark. to William Bland Gray and Cleo (Hammons) Gray and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a Gunners Mate from 1948-1952.
Graveside services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Fouts and Wayne Morton officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving family members are his wife, Mary Gray of the home; three sons, Scott Gray and wife Tammy of Spiro, Barry Gray and wife, Sharon of Sallisaw, and Landon Gray and wife, Tammy of Oklahoma City; a sister, Genevia Bias and husband Jim of Cameron; 10 grandchildren Josh Quinalty, Erica Sisco, Dylan Gray, Parker Gray, Chaston Spiers, Kasi Spiers, Tatum, Saylor and Paxton Gray, and Robbie Coontz; six great grandchildren; a very special friend and business partner, Robert McCullar of Pocola; and two pets, Tootsie and Duke.
Family Visitation is Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro.
