Letter to the editor:
We have reached a point in our country that would make our forefathers hang their head in shame. Certainly our forefathers didn’t intend this county to be a police state, not only the county but also areas of the county.
Please go to the link below and view the happenings in Wister. I watched the entire thing unfold along with other residents of Wister. The peace office is not being entirely truthful and forthcoming with this story.
Naturally, people are fearful of the police if the step forward and tell the real story. We as American citizens are enabling this kind of activity to continue in our country by not participating in our city council meetings, our county elections, our state elections and our federal elections.
Believe me your vote counts. Go to http://therealrobwallace.com/ go to http://5newsonline.com/2012/08/06/wister-man-accused-of-ramming-police-car-in-covered-wagon/. People these things are happening right here in out cities, county, our state and federal government.
Are these the people you want to protect and represent you? Either sit on your rear end and holler my vote doesn’t count or go vote. I assure you things will only get worse with dishonest people involved in our daily lives.

For the record, the Wister Police Department has always been kind and professional, from what I’ve seen. I’ve personally met all the officers and every one of them have been awesome. They ARE the type of people I’d want protecting my town. I thank each of them for they do!
