POTEAU–Lavinia Jane Quigg, 95, of Poteau, passed away Monday in Poteau. She was born Oct. 4, 1917 in Avery, Ok. to O.W. & Drucella (Sample) Wilcher, was a homemaker and member of the Poteau Church of Christ.
Services are Friday at 10 a.m. at the Poteau Church of Christ with Don Cherry officiating. Interment will follow at the Monroe Cemetery, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Fred Murfin; second husband, Clyde Quigg; sister, Zula Province; grandsons, Steve Chandler, Mikal Morphis; great grandson, Colton Samuels; and son-in-law, Winford Chandler.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Chandler of Poteau; special daughters, Shirley Thomas of Monroe and Judy Payne of Cushing; special granddaughters, Jeanie Hayden of Paris, Ark., Kim Burns of Shreveport, Jamie Williamson of Eldorado, Kecia Chandler, Mia Miller, and Natasha Samuels of Poteau and Lydia Brown of Fort Smith; six great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Mae Eason of Azle, Texas and Izetta Holland of Burleson, Texas; and brother, Frank Wilcher of Houston.
Pallbearers are Bob Marchant, Randy Lum, Dick Moore, Jack Baker, Rendall Thompson and Cecil Williams.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Patrick Lynch Library Fund.
