POTEAU–Eddie Alford McCroskey, 70, of Poteau passed away on Feb. 17, 2014, in Poteau. He was born April 26, 1943, in Fort Smith to Orville and Wilma (McConnell) McCroskey. He earned his Doctorate of Law Degree from OCU in 1972.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Springhill Baptist Church in Monroe with Pastor Dan Fisher and Pastor Rick Snyder officiating, under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Charles Lake McCroskey; two brothers, Dinger and Bobby McCroskey; and a sister Anna Marie McCroskey.
He is survived by his wife, Ann McCroskey, of the home; a son, Eddie McCroskey II, of Wister; three daughters, Charlotte Schmidt and husband Mack of Poteau, Jaclyn Meeh and husband John of Wister, and Crystal Hensley and husband Allan of Shady Point; brothers Charles McCroskey of Poteau, Freddy McCroskey and wife Mary of Oklahoma City; sister Emma Skinner and husband A.V. of Poteau; grandchildren Alex and Angel Schmidt, Treven Ward, Acelyn and Addison McCroskey, Cole and Bryar Hensley, Joel and Jonah Meeh and Nate Brown; and two sisters-in-law Phyllis McCroskey of Shady Point and and Marie McCroskey of Poteau.
