POTEAU–Aaron Daniel “Danie” Byous, Jr., 67 of Poteau passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 in Fort Smith. He was born January 7, 1947 in Modesto, Calif. to Aaron Daniel Sr. and Betty (Mitchell) Byous, was a lineman and service man for OG&E for 35 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services are Friday at 2 p.m. at Cross Community Church in Poteau with Rev. Barry Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau.
He was preceded in death by his father; father-in-law, Harry Tustin; and stepfather, Ben Gedosh.
Survivors include his wife, Susie, of the home; daughters, Misty Collins and husband Jerry Collins, and Lacey Downs and husband Justin of Poteau; five grandchildren, Dani and Dax Collins, Champ, Wrigley and Rooklyn Downs; mother, Betty Gedosh, of Poteau; mother-in-law, Tess Tustin of Poteau; stepbrother, Dr. Jack Gedosh and wife JoAnn Gedosh of Fort Smith; and brothers-in-law, Harry and Robbie Tustin Jr., Larry and Sandy Tustin.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Satterfield, Kenny Sparks, Houston Lambert, Mike Ford, David Wann and Ricky Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are David Kerns and Ronnie Cooper.
The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
