POTEAU—The LeFlore County commissioners approved selling county property and set the salaries for elected county officials for 2015 in their weekly business meeting on Monday.
The commissioners kept the monthly salary the same for the elected officials at $4,559.38 for the coming year, the same as it was in 2014.
They also approved selling lot 14, Green Country Acres, Replat #2 for $475. The county has owned the property, which includes 1.1 acres, since 2011. There was $470 owed on the property.
Also, the commissioners approved a Keddo REAP close-out document, approved the treasurer’s monthly report, approved a certificate of liability and workmen’s compensation for JOB Construction, Co. and approved a NEPA consultant form for resurfacing old Hwy. 112.
In addition, they approved a resolution disposing of an old Caterpillar motor grader, approved a certificate of liability and workmen’s compensation for the Railroad Yard, approved two permit applications for Windstream Communications, approved appointing Carmen Williams to replace Sandra Turner on the LeFlore County Public Buildings Authority account at the Community State Bank and approved a second pay application from JOB Construction for the Conser road project.
Representatives from Rapid Exams, Inc., were on the agenda to meet and discuss possible drug testing for the county, but nobody showed. Also, the commissioners were supposed to meet with a representative from American Fidelity Insurance for discusstion on supplemental county insurance, but the representative also did not show.
