He passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 in Tulsa and was born Sept. 2, 1948 in Purcell to Kenneth Jack and Betty Jane (White) Hammond.
He was a dentist in Poteau and a former winner of the Man of the Year award from the Poteau Chamber of Commerce in 1987.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; three daughters, Jennifer Miller and husband Scott, Sarah Bradshaw and husband Cody, and Kendra Yandell and husband Chad; seven grandchildren, Jaxon, Jake, Grayson, Brett, Hammond, Jace and AnnaClaire; and two sisters, Kay Brown and Kimberly Campbell and husband, Don.
