HOWE—Howe opened its slow-pitch softball season on Friday by winning two of three games.
The Lady Lions downed Buffalo Valley, 5-2, defeated Arkoma, 7-6 and lost to Whitesboro, 10-7.
In the win over Buffalo Valley, Jentry Brown was 3-3 with two runs, Lauren Ford was 2-3 with two runs, Jalei Oglesby had two doubles and two RBI while going 2-3 and Braden Dorsey finished 3-4 with a pair of RBI.
Against Arkoma, Brown was 3-4 with two runs and two RBI, Oglesby was 3-5 with a double and a RBI and Kerstein Hall had a 3-4 game with a double and a RBI.
In the loss to Whitesboro, Hall had two doubles and scored three runs while going 3-4, Dorsey had a 3-4 game with three RBI and a pair of doubles while Abby Davidson doubled and went 2-3.
Howe is home again on Monday against Heavener and Poteau.
