Salaman is from Puerto Rico, and played his freshman year at CASC.
According to new CASC head baseball coach Tyler Guthrie, playing pro baseball is a dream and goal of nearly every college player.
“It is great for Salaman to be afforded this chance,” said Guthrie. “In addition to being a dream come true for him, it is encouraging for both our current and future Viking players to see one of our own get this opportunity.
“Signing as a free agent opens doors for him to start the journey in pro ball. He will have several steps to work through, and it will be fun to keep up with his progress.”
