POTEAU–The 11th Annual Eastern Oklahoma Ag Trade Show will be held again this year at the LeFlore County Fairgrounds west of Poteau on April 13.
Speakers will be on hand to discuss a variety of agricultural topics. The doors will be open to the public at 8 a.m. for visiting the exhibitor booths. The morning speaker sessions will begin at 9 a.m.
Topics for the sessions will include the following: Cattleman program – Implications of Litter Application Timing by Brian Pugh, Area Agronomist, Oklahoma State University Extension; Poultry Credit – Routine Mortality Management & Composting Methods by Doug Hamilton Ph.D., P.E., Associate Professor, Extension Waste Management Specialist, Oklahoma State University; USDA NRCS Programs; Poultry – Eco Drum Demonstration (Rotary Drum), Bridget Pruitt, Hindsite Solutions.
There will be breaks throughout the morning to visit booths. The break at 12:30 p.m. will be for a free lunch provided by the sponsors of the event and to allow more time for those attending to visit the exhibitor booths. The Ag Trade Show should conclude by 2:30.
Over 25 exhibitors are expected to be on hand at the event. Display booths will range from ag chemicals, farm equipment and supplies, metal and fencing supplies to feed and seed dealers, lending institutions, and government services. Pre-registration to attend the trade show is not necessary. Everyone is invited and welcome to attend. Over 250 attended last year’s event.
