Oklahoma’s 2017 spring turkey hunting seasons kick off April 1-2 for youths 17 and younger in all areas except the southeast region. The general spring turkey hunting season will run April 6 to May 6 in all areas except the southeast region.
In the eight-county southeast region, youth turkey season will be April 15-16, and regular turkey season will be from April 17 to May 6.
Strutting activity has already been observed this year giving youth hunters a good chance to harvest a gobbler. Youths who do not harvest a turkey during the youth season may use their unfilled turkey license during the regular spring turkey season.
