WISTER—Cash Balentine homered and threw a shutout as Wister defeated LeFlore, 8-0, in the championship game of the Wister Invitational Tournament on Saturday.
Wister’s JV defeated Whitesboro, 6-3, for third place and Talihina downed Heavener, 8-7, to win the consolation crown.
Balentine went the distance, shutting out six and giving up three hits. He also hit the home run and was 1-2 with two RBI and two runs. Jake Sconyers doubled twice and was 2-3 with three RBI and two runs while Koby Midgley doubled in a 2-3 game with a run scored.
Blake Crase doubled for LeFlore.
Wister (12-6) hosts Wright City on Monday while LeFlore (9-9) goes to Braggs.
