POTEAU–Carl Albert State College and the CASC Development Foundation Alumni Banquet last Friday had well over 100 in attendance to celebrate this year’s honorees.
Leroy Nolan and Mark Pollard received awards for their service to the College, and joined the late Jerry Hetherington on the newly created Wall of Honor at CASC.
Nolan and Pollard are CASC graduates. Both made their careers at CASC, and both retired in 2016.
AES Shady Point President Rick Jackson was honored as a Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. Jackson graduated from CASC in 1998 as a honor graduate with an Associate of Science degree in Biology.
Austin O’Berry and Jeramy O’Berry were also honored as Distinguished Alumni Award recipients. AustinO’Berry graduated from CASC in 2012 as a Rothbaum Scholar at the head of her class with an Associate of Pre-Elementary Education degree. Jeramy O’Berry graduated from CASC in 2012 with honors and a degree in Pre-Engineering.
The two reside in Tulsa were she is a teacher at Riverfield Country Day School and he is a project engineer with Zeeco.
“We were very pleased with this year’s banquet,” said CASC President Jay Falkner. “We have the utmost respect and appreciation for those honored, and they are great ambassadors for Carl Albert State College.”
