POTEAU—Heavener’s tournament curse for 2017 is over, just in time for the Lady Wolves to win their fourth straight slow-pitch softball LeFlore County Tournament.
Heavener had earlier made it to the championship games of two tournaments, one at Howe and Battiest, but the Lady Wolves were swept in the final two games by Red Oak and Broken Bow.
The Lady Wolves cruised through the LCT and into the championship game after an 11-9 win over Wister in the winner’s bracket finals.
