SALLISAW—A 20-year old Poteau man was life flighted to St. Francis Hospital after an auto accident 1.5 miles west of Sallisaw on Friday.
The accident happened approximately 7:37 p.m. when the 2002 Honda Civic Allen Daniels was driving hydroplaned, departed the road to the right and struck a tree.
Daniels was admitted in critical condition with head and trunk internal injuries. The highway patrol report said Daniels was driving at an unsafe speed in rain or wet roadways.
Seatbelts were equipped and in use.
