WISTER—Wister scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth and defeated Poteau, 6-5, in high school baseball action Thursday in a rematch of the LeFlore County Tournament championship won by the Pirates.

Trailing 5-1, the Wildcats scored three times in the bottom of the fifth and pushed across two more in the bottom of the sixth for the win.
Cash Balentine was the winning pitcher for Wister in relief of Scotty Gibson. Balentine went the final 6.0 innings, striking out three and allowing five hits.
Rece Ward was tagged for the loss for Poteau. He came in to relieve Kale Barcheers and pitched 1.0 innings, giving up three runs and four hits. Clay Cross finished up for the Pirates, allowing two hits while striking out a pair.
Kolton Lynn led Wister (13-8) by going 2-4 with a RBI and a run while Jake Sconyers doubled and was 1-2 with a RBI and a run.
Ben Klutts had a 3-4 game to lead Poteau with a double and two RBI. Dawson Perry banged out a pair of doubles and was 3-3 with two runs and a RBI and Barcheers went 2-3 with a run scored.
Poteau (18-9) hosts Heavener on Friday while Muldrow is at Wister.
