WISTER—Wister swept Talihina and Whitesboro in the Wister Invitational Tournament on Friday.
The Wildcats improved to 11-6 with the two wins.
Wister defeated Talihina, 17-0, in the opener as Bryar Ward threw a three-inning no-hitter and Caleb Speers hit a grand slam.
Ward struck out eight and allowed only one walk. Speers was 2-3 with four RBI and two runs, Koby Midgley went 2-3 with three RBI and a run while Grant Shipman finished 2-2 with two runs and a pair of RBI.
Kolton Lynn allowed only two hits in Wister’s 9-1 win over Whitesboro while striking out 11.
Jake Sconyers homered and was 4-4 with four RBI and a run scored, Cash Balentine doubled and went 3-4 with two runs and two RBI, Midgley was 2-4 with a RBI and run scored and Speers went 1-3 with a double and a run scored.
