WYANDOTTE—Wyandotte won a 2A regional with a come-from-behind 5-4 win over Panama in the championship game Friday.
Seventh-ranked Wyandotte advances to the Class 2A state tournament with a 25-3 record while No. 10 Panama closes with a 23-8 mark.
Panama held a 4-1 lead before Wyandotte scored single runs in the fifth and sixth innings and two runs in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
The Razorbacks stayed alive earlier in the day with a 12-7 win over Caney Valley. Panama hit four home runs in the win. Tristan Thompson, Chance Timms, Jacob Mantooth and Dawson Restine all homered.
Thompson went 1-4 with two runs and a RBI, Timms was 1-2 with three runs and a RBI, Mantooth had a 2-3 game with three runs and a RBI and Restine went 1-4 with three RBI and a run.
Tanner Thompson went 1-3 with a RBI and a run with a double and Trevor Barnhart also doubled in a 1-2 game.
