POCOLA—Emily Yandell homered and Heavener rallied to a 7-5 win over Muldrow in the semifinals of the Pocola Tournament Friday night.
The Lady Wolves advanced to play Savanna in the winner’s bracket championship game Saturday.
Heavener trailed 3-2 after two innings before taking the lead for good with three runs in the third and then added two more in the fourth. Muldrow scored two runs in the fifth before the Lady Wolves ended the game to improve to 4-0.
Makenzie Wilson got the win, going all 5.0 innings while striking out five and allowing three hits.
Shelby Smith doubled and was 2-2 with a RBI and a run, Yandell homered and went 1-3 with two RBI and a run, Rilegh Pate was 1-2 with two RBI and Wilson finished 1-2 with a run.
