WHITESBORO—The Howe girls went 2-0 on Friday to win the Whitesboro Tournament.
The Lady Lions went 4-0 in the tournament, defeating Haworth and LeFlore on Friday before downing Whitesboro in the winner’s bracket finals, 5-4, and taking the championship game with a 12-4 decision over LeFlore.
LeFlore won three times Friday to make it to the championship game. The Lady Savages defeated Clayton, 15-2, edged Smithville, 8-5, and then took down Whitesboro, 12-8, to advance to the championship game.
In Howe’s win over Whitesboro, the Lady Lions scored all five runs in their final at bat to get the win.
Howe, 5-1, had Justyn Lynn hit a 2-run home runs and went 1-3 with two RBI and a run, Sydnie Womack went 1-3 with a double and a run, Caitlyn Stacy was 1-2 with a RBI and Peyton Stubbs had a 1-3 game with a run.
