POTEAU—The LeFlore County commissioners met in a special business meeting on Thursday with the following members present: chairman Lance Smith, vice chair Derwin Gist and county clerk Kelli Ford.
The following action was taken by the board:
(1.) Smith called meeting to order.
(2.) After discussion, motion was made by Gist and seconded by Scott to approve an emergency purchase of a new fire truck benefiting Spiro Fire Department which replaces the existing truck that is out of service. This decision waives the normal bidding procedures and allows the county to obtain the new truck as soon as possible. Motion was approved all voting yes.
Motion was made by Smith and seconded by Gist to adjourn and reconvene in a regular meeting Monday at 9 a.m. Motion was approved all voting yes, Smith-yes, Gist-yes, Scott-yes.
