A Hartford, Ark. woman was injured in one-car accident Friday morning on Highway 83, 1.3 miles east of Monroe.
Traci Harris, 45, was admitted to Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark. after the 1999 Ford Explorer she was driving westbound departed the roadway to the left and overturned at approximately 6:55 a.m.
She was pinned approximately 45 minutes before being freed by the Howe Fire Department.
She was admitted in stable condition at Sparks. The cause of the accident was listed as inattention, other distraction inside vehicle.
Harris was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Ron Shatsar of the LeFlore/Latimer County Detachment of Troop D. and assisted by Acting Troop Commander Eddie Bohanan and Trooper Ryan Williams, the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office and Howe Fire Department.
