NORMAN—Howe split its two games at the OU Tournament on Thursday, falling to Washington 7-1, before rallying in the last inning to top Red Oak, 10-9.
Howe trailed Red Oak 9-3 before scoring seven runs in the Lady Lions’ last at-bat.
Ally Davis had the game-winning single to bring in the winning run and was 1-4. Zoe Nation went 2-3 with two runs, Sydnie Womack smacked a 3-run homer and was 1-3, Justyn Lynn went 2-3 with a double, two RBI and a run, Makaleah Lewis tripled and doubled while going 2-4 with two RBI and two runs while Danie Collins homered and was 2-3 with a RBI and two runs.
Makaleah Lewis was the winning pitcher and improved to 2-0.
In the loss to Washington, ranked second in 3A, Lynn was 3-3 with a double and a run and Jalei Oglesby was 1-2 with a double and a run.
Abby Davidson took the loss to drop to 12-3.
Howe continues play in the tournament on Friday against Tuttle and Purcell.
