In only his third week with the LCJ/Ledger Panel Picks, the mayor-man Troy Dyer captured his first win by going 11-2 to edge out overall leader Michael White.
White finished 10-3 for the week while Dusty Roberts and Dylan Alexander were both 9-5. Jerry Pitchford and Mark Caldwell were tied at 7-6.
Overall, White is 20-7, one game ahead of Dyer. Alexander is third at 18-9, Roberts is 17-10, while Pitchford and Caldwell are both 16-11.
“The only thing that surprised me was it took three weeks to win,” Dyer didn’t actually say. “I really expected to win the first week and every week. White and Alexander both got lucky for a week but from now on, they will be playing catch up.
“I really dedicated myself this week and put in extra film study and research so that I would win, and I did.”
Each week our Panel picks games involving LeFlore County high schools, OU, OSU, Tulsa, Arkansas and a national game of the week.
