We had a pretty good week last week in the LCJ/Ledger picks, going 6-1 for the week.
The only game we missed was the Heavener and Valliant game, but only by 39 points so thanks Wolves.
Overall, we zoomed up to 18-6 on the season and despite several requests, we don’t pick the college games here. So you need to get your betting advice somewhere else, unless you are willing to pay mucho deniro, and not the Robert version.
A rather tough lineup this week so we have doubts this might be a successful mission. But hey, we will give it our all, give 100 percent and not quit until the obese female harmonizes.
VIAN AT HEAVENER—Not a good time for the Wolves to be playing Vian since the Wolverines have lost two straight games, not that there ever is a good time to be playing the Wolverines. Heavener showed some signs of offensive firepower for a while last week, but must start tackling the opposition. VIAN 38, HEAVENER 17.
POTEAU AT METRO—Pirates are off to a 3-0 start, but the competition has not exactly been stellar. Metro has struggled to a 1-2 start. Metro is also not the easiest place to win. We’re going to ride the tide with the Pirates for at least another week. POTEAU 42, METRO 35.
HARTSHORNE AT PANAMA—Hmm, we have struggled with this pick all week. Hartshorne has owned the series with the Razorbacks, but the Miners are 1-3 and Panama is 4-0. Granted, the Miners have played a much tougher schedule which featured losses to Eufaula and Stigler. If Panama wants to compete for the district championship, a win here would come in handy. HARTSHORNE 21, PANAMA 18.
EUFAULA AT SPIRO—The Ironheads have alternated wins this season so far. This is a win week, if things go according to the schedule, which rarely happens in life. Spiro hasn’t won, but almost pulled off a huge upset last week before losing at Stigler. We’re going against the trends here peeps. SPIRO 28, EUFAULA 27.
TALIHINA AT POCOLA—A rare matchup involving LeFlore County teams! Only the second one this year. Talihina is getting healthy and that is not good news for the other teams in the district. Talihina beat Poteau’s JV 40-7, Pocola beat Poteau’s JV, 24-12. So that settles it. TALIHINA 49, POCOLA 14.
CANADIAN AT ARKOMA—Canadian (the town, not the bacon) is 2-1 with its only loss to Prue, which should change the r and u to make it Pure, while Arkoma is 3-1. The Mustangs hit it big on the web last week with a video of a touchdown. Must admit, not sure who wins this one and when in doubt, pick the county team to avoid the hate mail. ARKOMA 42, CANADIAN 31.
BOWLEGS AT BOKOSHE—A chance for Bokoshe to end its losing streak. Those fighting Tigers get a beatable team this week in the Bowlegged ones. Bowlegs is 1-2 while Bokoshe is gunning for its first win. Could it be this week? Might it be this week? We’d like to go out on a limb, but the last time that happened, the limb broke. BOWLEGS 42, BOKOSHE 38.
