HODGEN—Graveside funeral services for David Rolo Lewis, 71, of Hodgen are Wednesday at noon in the United States National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas with Bro. Jason Waymire officiating.
He was born Dec. 20, 1946 in Brewster, Washington to Rolo and Ora Mae (Hodges) Lewis and passed away Jan. 28, 2018 in Hodgen.
David was a long-time resident of the area, a member of the Windsor Hill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, and a member of the American Legion. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era, where he served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. David was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lewis, of the home; two sons Reith Lewis and wife Melissa of Heavener, and Kyle Lewis and wife April of Hodgen; one sister, Beatrice Campbell, of Texarkana, Texas; one brother Brock Lewis and wife Nancy of Wagoner; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous loved ones and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolo and Ora Mae Lewis.
Viewing is Tuesday from from noon until 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m.
