Two people died in a wreck Saturday morning approximately 3.5 miles south of Idabel in McCurtain County.
An unknown driver was driving a four-door sedan east on Old 21 Road. The vehicle was negotiating a right curve at a high rate of speed, departed the roadway to the left, striking at tree, and immediately catching on fire.
The accident remains under investigation.
Both the driver and passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene by the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office and the Idabel Fire Department.
The driver and passenger were pinned approximately four hours before being released by the Idabel Fire Department.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Jaydon Pingleton.
