Two Arkansas men were injured in an auto accident Friday at approximately 9:16 a.m. on Highway 4, two miles east of Smithville in McCurtain County.
Charles Dowdy, 22, out of Lockesburg, was driving eastbound when his 2012 Ford F-150 crossed the centerline and struck a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Victor Hernandez, 20, from DeQueen.
The accident report lists the cause of the accident as improper speed.
Dowdy was taken to Mena Regional Health with upper extremity injuries and is listed in stable condition.
Hernandez was also transported to Mena Regional Health with upper extremity injuries and is listed in stable condition. A person in his vehicle, ARlaetthe Gonzalez-Rosa, 19, of DeQueen was not injured in the accident.
